March 25-27 - Our Time in the Kuy Village

3-24-17 - "What do you mean I have to preach at the Kuy Village?
And did you say twice?!"

3-25-17 - The group is up nice and early on Saturday for the approximately 2-3 hour trip to the remote Kuy Village.

"When we arrived at Kuy we were greeted by the one the villagers call "The Man of Peace," also know as Pu Hon (Uncle Hon). Pu Hon was the first Believer in the village, and he continues to help shepherd and influence his people for Christ. Pu Hon was an excellent host and is a great leader among his people. I left him one of the Gospel soccer balls and a Khmer children's Bible story book to help him teach the Kuy kids. Please pray for him to draw closer to Jesus and that Uncle Hon will lead all of his people to the Lord Jesus."

The Phnom Penh University students have been building a deep relationship with the Kuy villagers for quite some time now.
Not surprisingly, the way they connect best with the village kids is through games.

Later on that first day we introduced the special soccer balls.

3-26-17 - Preaching Sunday morning with Chetra, my translator.
Focused completely on the Gospel and what God has planned for us: Heaven.
Theme: God Makes All Things New (Because of Jesus).

Children's church and the Gospel using the special soccer ball.
We asked questions at the end and gave out prizes to those with correct answers.
I was actually shocked how much they remembered.

Sing with me: "Jesus loves me this I know..."

This little girl volunteered to sing "Jesus Loves Me" along with me.
She did such an awesome job!

Time for coloring sheets. These were a huge hit and helped us teach the Bible - thank you Ms. Sabeth!
The Crossroads' students came up with an awesome idea. They collected all the sheets and "graded" them,
and then told the kids to come back later for their grade and a reward...it totally worked! The kids showed up and loved it!

There are no desks in the Kuy Church building, so the kids colored on the small stools that are also used for sitting.
When all the stools were taken these boys did what they had to do to color. God bless 'em!

The Gospel ball getting its first use.
